1960 Fatboy 1/4 Turn Door Lock Repair

HELP!!

My beloved Fatboy just lost its 1/4 turn door lock.  I'm seeking information from anyone who may know how to fix it.  I've got an idea but....

The doors still appear to close completely, shaves as good as it always has, but the door knob appears to hard stop on the body of the razor before the 1/4 turn lock can engage.  Please see pictures.  I'm thinking the plate inside the bottom of the razor may have slipped somehow and all I need to do it adjust it further into the razor.

Any ideas?






Note - brassing on the doors gives it character.
