Cleaning and disinfecting vintage razors kits

I cleaned by vintage razors when I first got them by scrubbing gently with a toothbrush with hot water and dish washing soap, followed by a 10 minute soak in diluted barbicide. But how does one go about cleaning the cases for the vintage razors? For the one in all plastic cases like the gillette adjustable, can the cases be cleaned the same way as the razors with hot water, soap and barbicide? What about the cases with fabric in them?
